Downview™ Computer Training Desk
The monitor sits fixed beneath a tinted tempered-glass viewport, read with the same natural downward gaze as a book on the desk. First introduced in 1988, the design keeps the line of sight between students and instructor clear while maximizing usable worksurface.
How It Works
A natural downward gaze, with nothing to move or maintain.
Downview™ houses the monitor beneath the worksurface on an adjustable arm, viewed through a tinted tempered-glass viewport rather than lifted into the sightline. Because there’s no lift mechanism, there’s nothing to power or service — just a fixed viewport that keeps the desk quiet and the room’s sightlines clear. An optional privacy/glare visor cuts glare from overhead lighting and adds visual privacy between users.
